We are looking for a talented Senior Contract Manager to join our team specializing in Finance for our Accelera Business by Cummins, Inc. in Fridley, Minnesota OR Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Responsible for government contract/subcontract compliance and administration, cost and pricing support for government proposals.
Maintains compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), Cost Accounting System (CAS) requirements and all other Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Coordinates policy development and supports all government external audit visits.
Serves as an internal resource for all Government audits, issues and reporting requirements.
Drives the Contract bid process, negotiation and administration process including all phases of contract management and multiple contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Cost plus, Cost Sharing, etc.).
Drives the rate administration and annual audit review of those grants/contracts subject to cost reimbursement.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Technical Accounting Assessment - Evaluates and researches transactions in accordance with accounting regulations to ensure recorded in compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
Financial Reporting - Analyzes financial data by evaluating results and solutions to support business decisions; prepares and presents financial information by summarizing data to communicate results in compliance with regulations and stakeholder expectations; partners with stakeholders to drive financial performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies.
Business Process and Internal Control Risk Analysis - Evaluates business processes to identify risks and internal control gaps; applies understanding of business processes and relevant risks to develop and implement process improvements; develops risk management plans by applying internal control framework to address identified risks.
Business Partnering - Collaborates with stakeholders and develops partnerships to drive performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies; influences the organization by demonstrating knowledge of the business to provide guidance to support the decision making process and guiding the business towards positive results and organizational alignment; evaluates business environment using measures to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
Experience
Significant experience required, including supervisory experience.
Job Description and Experience Highlights. The primary focus of this position is to support the different company stakeholders in reviewing properly our contracts before their signature, and follow-up after signature for any change, claim, etc. at all stages of a project (from BD/Sales to Project completion) A Senior (Sr.) Contract Manager should have effective leadership and management skills in order to achieve performance objectives.
“Must-Have” Technical Skills: Previous experience (10 to 12 years) within a Contracts Manager role or similar function. Previous experience dealing with large international companies / ECP RFP process preferably in Oil & Gas Business. Strong familiarity with and understanding of commercial contracts, with a view to understanding them, identifying language issues, and tracking their implementation. Ability to work within cross functional teams, being supportive of co-workers and teammates, principally concerned about group success and knowing how to work within a diverse team and when to bring other team members to the table to complete a project.
A Sr. Contract Manager will be acting as a central point of contact for all contractual matters at all stages of a Project. He/She will be coordinating all support services inside the Company (legal team & external counsels, finances, insurances, etc.) to ensure all aspects of a contract are properly analyzed and are acceptable for the Company in terms of inherent risks, legal aspects, compliance, financial impacts, etc. Sr. Contract Manager shall be responsible of drafting notices, official letter, important emails and other documents required in on-going management of contracts as well as managing contract approval and signature process and managing, updating and organizing template agreements. He/She shall assist in implementing policies and carrying out procedures for the business relating to compliance matters. He/She shall answer questions from project management and execution teams with respect to executed agreements (liaising with the legal team, where necessary). He/She shall have strong background in commercial contracts with keenness to apply his/her contract expertise in a technical environment, dealing with several persons of different technical backgrounds and from different cultures and origins. He/She shall be creative, open minded, flexible, and shall be able to adapt him/herself to challenging situations and environments. Sr. Contract Manager shall be able to work autonomously. Excellent business and communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, with broad experience working with commercial contracts
Base salary range: $97,600 - $146,400
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
