Internal Controls Senior Analyst

Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Internal Controls Analyst to join our team.

(Remote or Hybrid Role): This role can be done anywhere within the United States.

• Preferably from Cummins’ Indianapolis location, but not required. Dependent on the candidate.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Documents, tests, and consults on financial controls, company policies, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles at the global, region and/or plant level; reviews internal control documentation to ensure that it is accurate and up to date

• Prepares process maps and control matrices

• Prepares test plans

• Communicates directly with site SOX leads/management to coordinate all details and documentation requirements for testing

• Leads testing team, providing direction and oversight to team members, and reviews the work of others. Also provides leadership and oversight to contractors and guest testers

• Prepares audit findings and communicates findings and recommendations to site management

• Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting and internal control systems

• Coaches and mentors accounting staff and GIC team members on internal controls issues, process documentation, and testing procedures

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting (Preferred), a degree in a related field of study, might be considered.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance

• Prior audit experience is (Preferred)

• Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or similar certification (Preferred)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
