Internal Controls Senior Analyst
Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Internal Controls Analyst to join our team.
(Remote or Hybrid Role): This role can be done anywhere within the United States.
- Preferably from Cummins’ Indianapolis location, but not required. Dependent on the candidate.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Documents, tests, and consults on financial controls, company policies, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles at the global, region and/or plant level; reviews internal control documentation to ensure that it is accurate and up to date
Prepares process maps and control matrices
Prepares test plans
Communicates directly with site SOX leads/management to coordinate all details and documentation requirements for testing
Leads testing team, providing direction and oversight to team members, and reviews the work of others. Also provides leadership and oversight to contractors and guest testers
Prepares audit findings and communicates findings and recommendations to site management
Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting and internal control systems
Coaches and mentors accounting staff and GIC team members on internal controls issues, process documentation, and testing procedures
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting (Preferred), a degree in a related field of study, might be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance
Prior audit experience is (Preferred)
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or similar certification (Preferred)
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
