Director, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation

Description

We are looking for a dynamic, talented Director, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation to join our team specializing in corporate accounting and consolidation operations for our Filtration business headquartered in Nashville, TN. The role is designated hybrid and can be performed from yourhome office locationwith less than 15% overall travel (mostly to Nashville, TN).

In this role, the Director, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for the consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial statements

  • Responsible for technical accounting areas like equity accounting, stock-based compensation, and income tax accounting

  • Manages a team of accountants with varying levels of experience

  • Interprets accounting reports, makes recommendations to leadership based on the reports, and implements changes to improve reporting and/or accounting processes and procedures

  • Ensures the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the Company’s financial statements.

  • Communicates consolidation and reporting issues to senior management and external auditors

  • Collaborates and interfaces with tax, treasury, business analysis and planning, and external auditors

  • Monitors and ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance related to financial reporting and consolidations

  • Directs activities related to the recording of accounting transactions, timely preparation and validation of account reconciliations, timely resolutionof reconciliations and exceptions

  • Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests

  • Ensures that all deliverables are in accordance with current accounting standards

  • Reviews existing internal controls on a regular basis and develops new internal controls as necessary

  • Provides training to new and existing staff as needed

  • Coaches and mentors accounting staff, assigns work according to availability, skills and development needs, assesses performance, and provides feedback to direct reports

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education/Experience

  • Global leadership experience, managing high performance teams, required

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required

  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification, required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
