This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee for a Supplier Payments Analysts. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Provide analytical research services as a member of the Customer Support team in a high-volume AP operation.

  • Partner with entities to research and resolve processing rejects from Cummins’ financial system.

  • Ensure the timely processing of payment out-file, vendor maintenance, complete and log all E-form received via the database within SLA.

  • Identify root cause analysis of payables processing errors and suggests process improvements.

  • Perform complex research/analysis and statement reviews as required to resolve supplier account discrepancies.

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members and others within the organization.

  • Participates in projects related to A/P improvement.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested within the Payment Team.


  • Minimum three to five years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of AP/Purchasing methodology and basic accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.

  • Knowledge of financial management software.

  • Ability to multi-task, work with deadlines and respond quickly to change.

  • Strong Customer Focus with excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

  • Ability to build and foster a positive, collaborative team environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Lotus Notes

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

A combination of education and experience is considered as follows:

  • High School Diploma (GED) and five years AP experience o

  • Associate degree/ Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field in Business or related field & and three years AP experience

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
