We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join our team specializing in Finance and Accounting for our Office Segment in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing financial reporting

  • Completing financial analysis

  • Working with business owners to provide feedback.

  • Working with other departments with capital expense

  • Cost analysis

  • Supporting financial functions within the finance department

  • Performs basic and complex financial analyses and reports for management. Supports the annual budget and forecasting processes. Performs activities under minimal supervision.

  • Prepares basic and complex reporting for management, including reviews for areas of emphasis and follow-up.

  • Develops and analyzes financial data to support departmental budgets and forecasts.

  • Explains expense variances and heightens spending awareness within the organization.

  • Loads actual and forecast data into the financial system.

  • Supports other daily financial processes for more complex transactions required for purchase requisitions, invoice reconciliation, supplier payments, requests for checks and questions concerning monthly budget data.

  • Participates or leads in special projects as assigned.

  • Performs ad hoc reporting requests as needed.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

A two year University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Compiles, consolidates and conducts analysis of accounting and finance information. Prepares standard journal entries that require analysis. Performs more complex monthly and annual account reconciliations. Prepares tables, charts and other exhibits for reports. May perform complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on complex projects. Performs ad hoc reporting requests as needed. Other RMEP responsibilities include:

  • Assist with capital expense reporting and forecasting

  • Assist with labor cost capitalization process and reconciliation

  • Support costing process improvement projects

  • Identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities

  • Assist with financial modelling and weekly cost model support

  • Assist with Annual Operating Plan as needed

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Financial Analysis background

  • Ability to work in the office full time for 6 months and then adapt to a hybrid environment (2 days in the office, 3 days remote)

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting or financial experience

  • Associate degree in financial or accounting preferred but will consider equivalent experience/work history

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
