This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate or junior finance professional who is keen to embark on a career within finance. You will become a significant player in a medium sized finance team in Rumst, responsible for general accounting activities whilst striving to ensure we remain financially compliant.

This is the perfect role for you if you are someone who has a pro-active working style and you enjoy working in fast paced environment. You will be joining a supportive team of accountants who have a diverse range of experience for you to learn from, as long as you are an inquisitive person with a desire to progress.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate posting, balancing and reconciliation of all accounts

  • Work toward deadlines to produce monthly/ quarterly/ annual regulatory and governmental reports (i.e. VAT declarations)

  • Prepare and submit foreign Vat declarations for Cummins NV and other Cummins entities

  • Coordinate and participate in statutory work for Cummins NV

  • Support internal and external statutory audits (including SOx audits)

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports according to Belgium and US GAAP


You will be successful in this role with the following skill set :

  • A desire to develop a career in finance with a passion for figures

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise work load and work toward tight deadlines

  • Work on initiative with an eye for seeing opportunities to modify and improve processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team

  • Dutch and English language skills are essential

  • An interest in supply chain would be beneficial

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • A degree in a Finance, Economics or is essential to be considered
