We are looking for a talented Commercial Finance and Reporting Manager to join our team in Scoresby. This role will manage the reporting and business partnering function, supporting the lines of business and associate teams across the Asia Pacific region. You will support the business by using commercial insights, to help achieve their AOP targets and to strategically plan to increase profitability.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Be responsible for leading the development and preparation of financial analysis and evaluating financial plans and budgets for the assigned business unit, function, project or corporation.

  • Develop and prepare annual operating budgets and/or periodic financial reports.Analyse, evaluate, and develop financial models, for all business lines (Operations, Mining, Power Generation, On/Off Highway and Supply Chain/Business Solutions)

  • Coach and mentor a team of financial analysts; assign work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provide feedback to direct reports.

  • Partner with business lines, using financial data to plan ahead to increase margins whilst identifying potential areas of opportunities and risk.

  • Design, develop and manage strategic financial analysis projects as necessary.

  • Share, identify and drive execution of improvement opportunities for the business performance and provide clear and robust financial analysis to support decision making.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.

  • Significant experience in a similar role, with demonstrated supervisory experience, ideally within a similar industry and/or a global organisation

  • Strong commercial business acumen, with a thorough understanding of analysing financial data, to provide insight to stakeholders, to be able to assist to strategically plan and drive financial performance

  • Have first class communication skills and be able to collaborate with stakeholders and develop partnerships to provide guidance to support the decision-making process and directing the business towards positive results and organizational alignment; evaluate the business environment using measures to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
