The Tax and Reporting analyst will support the Cummins Finance Team in the provision of tax compliance and tax advisory services to the Australian, New Zealand and PNG business. You will be working with global tax processes and initiatives, including transfer pricing matters and compliance with the tax governance framework and policies. As part of the reporting team, you will be involved in the internal group reporting, submission of consolidated results and management of FX exposure. You will perform complex and interpretive financial analysis and prepare special studies and reports to support the business objectives.

The successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA with 5 years’ experience in a similar role and ideally with a big 4 background OR 5 years’ experience in a multinational corporate as well as tax experience gained in a professional accounting firm

  • Solid working knowledge of taxation across all facets of taxation types, especially income tax compliance (including tax consolidated groups), as well as fringe benefits tax and GST

  • Strong grasp of all technical taxation issues.

  • Experience in USGAAP accounting an IFRS and statutory reporting

  • Experience in FX management

  • Knowledge in the preparation of tax effect accounting entries and tax reporting for statutory purposes and experience with implementation of transfer pricing arrangements
